Meet Hamish Lamont


Hamish's passion for property began back in 1992 when he worked for John Britten, an entrepreneurial great in property as well as motorcycling.

Hamish has a marketing background and experience which is hard to match in the industry. He holds a Bachelor of Business Management with double majors in Marketing and Communication, plus 8 other qualifications in business, marketing,management, HR, tourism and sales. He has held various senior corporate roles including sales and marketing roles for Hertz NZ and Rick Armstrong Motor Group. Hamish also created the Tourism Managed Investment Property Division for another national real estate brand.

Hamish's results speak for themselves. As a residential sales consultant, he has often achieved the best (sale price to RV) results in the suburb he has sold a property in. His expert marketing ability and strong negotiating skills backed up by a strong statistical focus make him an asset to sellers. He considers it his personal mission to get the very best price for his client and takes great pride in having been offered listings from buyers to sell their home after having got them to pay considerably more for his seller's property.

Hamish has been a specialist in residential subdivisions since early 2004 when he developed a marketing campaign and sold down the 225 section /40 apartment Styx Mill Country Club subdivision in Christchurch, NZ's first gated community.Since then he has worked with many developers on projects both in New Zealand and overseas, including a planned $300m development in the Pacific Islands and the exclusive Riverside Reserve subdivision in Christchurch, which he sold down in record time, and Pegasus Town. He believes his formative years selling travel, an intangible product, has given him an edge in selling property off the plan. Hamish is an expert in master-planned communities and still consults to developers from throughout New Zealand.

Enthusiastic and able to come up with solutions that are 'outside the square', Hamish is committed to providing outstanding customer service and delivering superior results. He believes the basis of this is in listening to and understanding his clients, tailoring a solution that fits their property and situation and creating a unique point of difference that will compel the target market for that property to buy for the highest price.

Born and bred in Canterbury, Hamish prides himself on his wide personal and professional network. In his spare time he enjoys varied sporting pursuits. When time allows can sometimes be found on the ski slopes in winter and in summer, riding around the hills on his racing bicycle or custom built Italian motorbike.
